Meet the Artist: Milklady Soap Co.
Anna’s soapmaking journey began while she was trying to find suitable soap products that wouldn’t irritate her child’s eczema. Eventually, she found that the best way to do that was to make them herself, and Milklady Soap Co. was born! Anna makes hand poured, small batch soap daily in her studio in Burnaby. Her soaps are made using natural ingredients including colorants found in plants, algae and clay, and features a variety of scents that everyone can enjoy.
Meet the Artist: Mellifera Bees
Some could say that Melissa was always destined to be a beekeeper – the meaning of her first name is ‘honey bee’! Melissa harvests all of the honey for Mellifera Bees from her hives across the Lower Mainland and BC. Each jar contains unfiltered honey flavored with many types of infusions such as ginger, lavender and chili. Melissa recommends pairing her unique honey with bread and cheese, or shake things up and add some to ice cream or your favourite salad dressing!

Meet the Artist: Colordrunk
Dory’s first experience with her art going viral came when she created the Pantone Challenge, a creative exercise where she painted on paint swatches and posted them every day for a month. After the challenge ended, she felt ready to channel her creative energy into something bigger – and that something was Colordrunk, a brand that hopes to inspire creativity and add a little color into everyday lives! Her postcards featuring different Vancouver neighborhoods are bright, fun, and invoke the spirit of each different area of Vancouver.
